My name is Elise Fredriks and I teach a variety of group fitness classes at Thoreau. I love sharing a great workout with people and helping them find joy in movement because it feels amazing physically and mentally. My father competed in bodybuilding competitions when I was a kid, and my mother insisted my brothers and I play a sport every season. I’ve been hooked ever since! I started my career with being certified to teach Yoga and I have since added various other certifications including Body Pump, Grit, and most recently, Body Balance. I especially love a good workout set to music! I live in Acton with my husband, two children, and two dogs. I love to cook, learn about history, and travel with my family!
