Individualized Coaching & High-performance Training
The Thoreau Club Tennis Academy at the Mouratoglou Tennis Center Boston is New England’s top high-performance training program, dedicated to developing elite tennis players for competitive success. The academy focuses on physical fitness, tactical decision-making, technical skills, and the right mindset. Experienced coaches follow a curated curriculum to ensure consistent development for each player in a high-energy and enjoyable environment.
About the Academy
The Academy stands out due to its outstanding coaching staff and methodology, as well as its excellent facilities. Players have the chance to train and compete alongside other high-level athletes. Each player benefits from a customized program tailored to their unique skills and objectives, ensuring they develop the necessary abilities to excel at the highest levels of competition.
Player Requirements
Academy players are required to participate in instruction at a minimum of twice a week. This can be two weekly clinics, or one clinic and a private lesson. Players are required to leave a credit card on file. You will receive an email receipt any time the credit card is charged.
Our Tennis Pros
Our dedicated lineup of pros are here to encourage and guide your player to greater heights, as well as bigger and better results. This collective group of talented and dedicated individuals has helped our Academy players achieve some fantastic results on the courts with several reaching the later stages of regional and national tournaments annually.

Please note we follow the public-school calendar.
Enrollment Fee
Players receive tennis member privileges and fitness center access with their enrollment fee of $299. This fee is non-refundable and is not able to be prorated.
Private Lessons
Private lesson times fill up quickly. We recommend booking a regular weekly time to secure your time with the coach. You have a 24-hour cancellation option to avoid a full charge.
Tryout
All Academy players are required to meet with the coaches for an individual evaluation prior to enrollment.

Sports Performance Training (SPT)
Sports Performance Training (SPT) is included in your academy registration.
Training Registration
To provide for proper SPT Trainer-to-Player ratios as well as scheduling of facilities, reservations are required for Players to participate in SPT daily.

Monday -Thursday
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Training Location
The coaches will meet the kids in the front lobby and walk them down to The Outing Center (TOC) building. Parents can pick the kids up at the TOC. Any kids whose parents are not there to pick them up at the end of class will be walked back to the club.
