I am a certified yoga teacher, Pilates, Barre and reformer instructor and have a passion for fitness, anatomy, and the arts.
I received my training for yoga certification from Mimi Louriello/02 Yoga and Rolf Gates and my
Pilates mat, reformer and barre training from Boston Body Pilates/Balanced Body as well as Booty Barre.
I have completed a Baron Baptiste meditation and wellness program with the hopes of sharing it someday. I truly enjoy teaching diverse classes from basics to the advanced. My mat classes use props and are focused on the front and back of our core. My barre classes are spiked with cardio drills and lots of full body toning and high-rep sequences. I like to think that my classes are easy to understand, but also challenging. Anatomical cues and creative sequencing are my specialty.
As much as I love to teach, I am also a continuous student currently studying under Natasha Rizopoulous. My focus as a teacher is to explain the differences between effort and ease on the mat and how that can be applied to our lives off the mat as well. I encourage students to tap into how they feel, guiding them to take a break from the “over-thinking, busy” mind and reminding students that our bodies are our best teachers. I will always encourage students to use props and ask questions because we are all slightly different.
Currently, I am working on a yoga program for caregivers called “The Love-asana Project” and will work closely with the NAMI Organization. I love creating art, immersing myself in yoga and fitness, continuing education and raising my two children.
