Email: [email protected] This summer America and much of the world reflected upon the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission that landed on the moon. It was an inspirational moment in time. As a young boy I was living in California a few years prior to the landing mission and I was fortunate enough to be one of only two students from my elementary school to be chosen to attend a NASA presentation in San Francisco that explained how the moon landing mission was going to be accomplished. I was inspired. I wanted to learn more about the science, the math and the peopled involved. This summer The Thoreau Club was honored to host The Thoreau Tennis Open WTP tournament. It is the largest USTA tennis tournament in New England in over a decade. Our members, players, staff, and community experienced greatness first-hand. Many of the world’s greatest women tennis players exhibited strength, determination, and focus right here on our courts. It was only last year that we launched the Tim Mayotte Tennis Academy. Watching these young athletes train nearly every day is a joy. You can see the same focus and drive as the professional young women who played at the Thoreau Tennis Open. Moments of inspiration not only exist on a global level, but in everyday life. The Thoreau Club is a place where our goal is to facilitate inspiration to improve your health and fitness goals. Our trainers and coaches work every day to give you the tools for success. Seeing the progress of our Thoreau community every day is one of the greatest things about the club. I’ve come to see that it’s common that inspiration begets inspiration. B BE INSPIRED.
